RYSE: Rotary Youth Showcase Event 2025-26

Our future is brighter than ever thanks to the extraordinary talent of District 5330’s young speakers and musicians. On Sunday, April 12, 2026, the District came together at the Moreno Valley High School Performing Arts Center for RYSE — the Rotary Youth Showcase Event, a celebration in 2025-2026 District Governor Nyron McLean’s year that put our region’s most gifted young performers center stage.

A Growing Tradition

A massive shoutout to Rob Haskins and Mary Scott for their outstanding leadership in guiding Rotary District 5330 to another successful and inspiring showcase. What began as a new idea has become a cherished District tradition — highlighting these incredible young talents to our community. The future is in great hands.

Speech & Music, Side by Side

The showcase brought together two contests under one roof. In the 4-Way Test Speech Contest, students reflected on Rotary’s enduring ethical guide — Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned? — and shared what those questions mean in their own lives. This year’s top speakers were Rocco Nelms (Perris) in first place, Sanvi Mishra (Temecula) in second, and Naira Abaza (Palm Desert) in third. In the music competition, talented young pianists, string players, and vocalists performed for an appreciative audience of Rotarians, families, and friends.
