District 5330 – Celebrates Its 1st Annual Art for Peace Contest
December 6th marked a milestone for Rotary District 5330 as students, educators, Rotarians, and families came together for the 1st Annual Art for Peace Contest—a creative celebration of how young people interpret peace, unity, and hope in today’s world.
The competition exceeded every expectation. Students from across the district submitted artwork that showcased not only skill and originality but also deep emotional insight. Their pieces reflected themes of diversity, compassion, community, and the power of kindness—reminders of what our world can be when we choose peace.
Judges praised the entries for their creativity, color, symbolism, and heartfelt messages. Many attendees commented that the maturity and artistic talent on display were far beyond what anyone anticipated for a first-year event. From vivid paintings and mixed-media pieces to symbolic illustrations, each student brought their personal vision of peace to life.
The event also highlighted Rotary’s commitment to empowering youth through meaningful opportunities for expression, leadership, and service. By giving students a platform to share their voices, District 5330 continues to inspire the next generation of peacebuilders.
As the evening concluded, participants, families, and Rotarians expressed excitement for the future of the program. With such an extraordinary turnout and level of talent in its inaugural year, the Art for Peace Contest is well on its way to becoming a cherished annual tradition in District 5330.
Congratulations to all the students who participated—and thank you for reminding us that peace begins with creativity, courage, and vision.
