Public Image
Rotary’s public image is shaped by every member’s actions, our presence in the community and online, and the materials our clubs produce. The District Public Image team works with clubs to build community awareness of Rotary’s work — and we’re here to help.
Why public image matters
Rotary’s public image is shaped by the actions of each of its members, by our involvement in the community, by our presence on the web and social media, and by the publications our clubs produce. The District Public Image Committee works actively to shape that image and helps clubs promote awareness of Rotary’s work in their communities and around the world.
Brand identity is critical — and often overlooked. Think about the products you choose: branding shaped that decision. Household names spend millions to define their brand so you recognize it instantly. Rotary is no different. When people see our logo, they should immediately recognize Rotary International and an organization taking action to make the world a better place.
In 2019 the Rotary International Board directed all Rotary entities to adopt RI’s brand standards. Consistency is key: the Rotary Masterbrand Signature should be kept clear of outlines, special effects, and other graphic elements, and the Rotary wheel should never be modified or used to represent something else. Every time the mark is altered, it dilutes the power of the Rotary message.
The good news: you don’t have to do it alone. The Rotary Brand Center can help you create everything you need to update your visual identity, and the District Public Image team is here to help your club get on brand.
