Rotary Day at Galway – District Conference, Celebration, & Community
An Epic Day of Service
Join us for an inspiring and action-packed day as Rotary District 5330 comes together to celebrate service, leadership, and community impact! This special event will feature engaging activities, impactful speakers, and well-deserved recognitions, culminating in an evening of celebration and fun.
Morning Activities
The day begins with the Interact Conference, where young leaders will participate in interactive games, team-building activities, and leadership development exercises. After this, Interact and Rotaract members will join forces to prepare for the Epic Day of Service, an initiative to make a tangible difference in the community.
As Rotarians arrive, they will participate in the Epic Day of Service by assembling bikes for foster children in the Inland Empire, reinforcing Rotary’s commitment to service. During this time, a special presentation on helmet safety will be given by 4ShayJ, emphasizing the importance of protecting young riders.
Afternoon Program
A heartfelt Celebration of Life presentation will honor and remember those who have impacted the Rotary community.
The program continues with an equestrian team demonstration featuring an exceptional performance of the National Anthem. Following this, attendees will gather for group photos, capturing the spirit of fellowship and service.
Rotary leaders will then lead a reflective moment, including the Pledge of Allegiance, a recitation of the 4-Way Test, and an inspiring Rotary Moment. Distinguished guests and VIPs will be introduced, setting the stage for the keynote address.
Our keynote speaker, Rotary International Trustee Vicki Puliz, will deliver an insightful and motivational speech that highlights Rotary’s profound impact worldwide.
The afternoon features the highly anticipated Club Awards and Rotary Award for Vocational Excellence (RAVE), recognizing outstanding contributions and achievements within District 5330 and our community.
Finally, we will have the “Passing of the Banner” as we celebrate Judy Zulfiqar’s year as District Governor and welcome District Governor Nyron McLean for 2025-2026.
Evening Festivities
A special Peace Pole dedication ceremony will take place, symbolizing Rotary’s ongoing commitment to peace and unity.
Another evening highlight will be the KCBS BBQ Award Presentations, honoring the best in barbecue craftsmanship and competition.
To close out this incredible day, attendees will gather for a lively dance party featuring music by Rotarian Larry Potter. The party will celebrate fellowship, service, and the event’s successes.
This event promises to be a memorable gathering of Rotarians, Interactors, and community leaders, united in the spirit of service, leadership, and celebration. We look forward to seeing you there!

A proud member of the Rotary Club of Sparks, Nevada since 1992, Vicki served as club president from 2004 to 2005, as Governor for District 5190 from 2013 to 2014, and as a Rotary Public Image Coordinator from 2016 to 2019. She also served as Rotary International Director for the term 2021 to 2023. Vicki was part of the Board’s Executive Committee, chair of the RI Participant Experience/Program Committee, and Board liaison to the RI Strategic Planning Committee and Youth Advisory Council. Beginning in July 2024, she will serve as Vice Chair of the Rotary Peace Centers Committee, and starting July 2025, Vicki will take on the role of Trustee of The Rotary Foundation for a four-year term.
Vicki’s passion for leadership development has led her to take on several Rotary roles at the District, Zone, and International levels, as well as participate in a Rotary Fellowship centered on leadership development. She actively engages with both Rotary and the community to promote Rotary as a leadership organization. This includes partnering with the Chamber of Commerce for its annual leadership program and supporting a Rotary leadership initiative that emphasizes key practices from servant leadership: self-awareness, listening, reshaping the hierarchy, persuasion, colleague development, coaching rather than controlling, unlocking the energy and intelligence of others, as well as conceptualization, foresight, and motivation.
Vicki has recently concentrated on how Rotary can become an even greater force for promoting peace in our communities and around the globe. She is a Positive Peace Activator, trained through the partnership between Rotary and the Institute for Economics and Peace. Furthermore, she works to connect Rotary Peace Fellow alumni with Rotary members and clubs to enhance their mutual benefits and impact on the world, and she helped establish a Community of Practice for Rotary members to learn, collaborate, and share ways to engage in and facilitate courageous conversations.
Vicki graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Marketing and a Master of Business Administration. She owned a commercial electrical contracting firm in northern Nevada for 19 years before merging it into a publicly traded entity.
Vicki and her husband, Tim, live in Reno, Nevada, at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Their blended family consists of seven adult children, twelve grandchildren, and three Rotary Youth Exchange daughters. They enjoy outdoor activities and general aviation. Vicki and Pilot Tim are members of the International Fellowship of Flying Rotarians. They support Our Rotary Foundation as members of the Arch Klumph Society, the Paul Harris Society, the Polio Plus Society, and the Bequest Society.
