Shenali Rajaratnam and Ashley Portillo are two of our E-Club of World Peace members, who are the organizers of the Digital Power Of Women 2024 Conference, taking place in partnership with G20 Social under the Brazilian G20 Presidency November 17-18.
They have the honor and great privilege of counting on the participation of RI President Stephanie Urchick as one of our highlighted speakers at DPOW. We are very excited about it and so are other Rotarians! I’ve attached a flyer with more details and here is the link to a video of President Urchick excitedly accepting the invitation to be a speaker at DPOW: President Urchick accepting to be a speaker at DPOW.
Power of Women (POW) was honored to participate in the Women 20 (W20) Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was an incredible experience witnessing the diversity and strength of female leadership from Brazil, India, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, the U.S., and beyond—all united to advocate for inclusive global policies. Discussions with various leaders emphasized the need for continued collaboration to amplify women’s voices on key issues. At DPOW 2024, they will continue this momentum, showcasing the incredible work of women across sectors through exclusive digital interviews with world renowned female leaders, including Nobel Peace Laureates Dr. Shirin Ebadi and Tawakkol Karman, Rotary International President, Stephanie Urchick, among others.
We invite you and all of your club members to get a pass for DPOW 2024, not only to support President Urchick’s segment but also to join a dedicated Zoom room for Rotarians during the conference, allowing Rotarians everywhere to connect. This session will be open to Rotarians and potential future Rotarians to learn more about Rotary. There will be significant youth engagement during this session, supporting our overall Rotary International mission. We would greatly appreciate your support in getting a pass and encouraging all of your Rotary club members to do the same. A pass gets you access to the Rotarian session, visibility, networking opportunities, and more. Here’s the link for further information: www.powerofwomen.info/passes.
Proceeds support the installation of boreholes for the Kinoni community in Uganda with the support of the Kinoni Rotary Club. It will also support continued development of Power of Girls Clubs in Uganda.. Shenali and Ashley are also seeking volunteers to help spread the word and assist with administrative support for the Power Of Girls Clubs.
Please share with others, friends and family members.
Thank you,
Rudy Westervelt, PDG
