2021-2022 DISTRICT INITIATIVES

SPECIAL CLUB GRANTS

CLUBS CAN APPLY FOR ONE OF THE TWO FOLLOWING GRANTS:

  • Rebranding/Logo Update Initiative

    Up to $500 matching grant (club spends $275 – district matches $275, club spends $450 -district matches $450) is available for projects that create or update club promotional materials and include Rotary’s current brand/logo (e.g. club website, banners, club brochures, community signage)

  • Outreach/Awareness Initiative – Up to $500 matching grant (same as above) is available to support campaigns focused on increasing membership and Rotary awareness e.g. online advertising, social media advertising, print/TV/radio/outdoor advertising, a reception to host potential new Rotary members (food and venue expense eligible for reimbursement but not alcohol) or a rewards program for club members who introduce new members to Rotary. NOTE: funds are not intended to exclusively promote a fundraising event or club project.

PHOTO CONTEST

PEOPLE OF ACTION PHOTO CONTEST:

  • We have listened and have simplified the contest!
  • Just submit your ‘People of Action’ photo to Caitlin Lundgren d5020photos@gmail.com for your club to win one of two $1250 prizes for a club project.
  • Each club can submit up to 3 photos per month – no theme is necessary, however, photos should be examples of Rotary ‘People of Action’.

PAUL HARRIS FELLOW

PROMOTE PAUL HARRIS FELLOW

District 5020 will give every new member $10 towards their first Paul Harris Fellow. 

If the new member makes an additional $15US contribution to either the Annual fund or the PolioPlus fund during their first year they will be credited with an additional 200 recognition points – essentially $225 towards their first Paul Harris Fellow.

ROTARY DIRECT CHALLENGE

ROTARY DIRECT CHALLENGE

Clubs with the highest percentage of members signed up for Rotary Direct as of May l, 2022, will be eligible to win one of three cash prizes that the club can use towards a local or international club project.

 

    • First prize $2,500   

    • Second Prize $1,500   

    • Third Prize $500. 

Prizes will be awarded at the District Training and Conference May 13/14, 2022.

WIN A TRIP!

WIN A TRIP TO THE RI CONVENTION IN HOUSTON

Between July l, 2021 and April 15, 2022, each time a Rotarian sponsors a new member the sponsoring Rotarian’s name will be entered to win a trip to the RI Convention in Houston June 4-8, 2022. 

Trip includes convention registration for one person, accommodation and return flight for one person (meals and other expenses not included) – approx. value $2,200
